"Beware from coatings marketing tricks!
we see all over the world from our competitors showing certificates for coating Hardness 9H , promising the coat is super hard anti scratches. this is pure marketing trick to fool the customers/detailers and end users who use these to there cars paint.
when you see these "official" test report certificates please check well:
1. What substrate pencil hardness test was done on, metal plates , glass plates , some already has 8H pencil hardness. so coating on them add little more to it. car paint is soft , not passing more than 3~4 H.
2. How many layers it was coated, and how it was baked! for these tests they coat 10 and more layers over the test panel , then baked in oven or IR lights for very long time , something that not happen in real world!
most important to remember , in real world we coat car paint, clearcoat. Polyurethane surface.. there will never be 9H or even 7H hardness on such surface! there is no such thing full Anti scratch coating based on silica base materials .
we will try to set the standard for testing ceramic coatings by using what car paint manufacturers use for testing there paints, the Amtec Kistler washing test machine. this real time wash machine show how clearcoat maintain its gloss after nylon brush washes with salty water . we will test our coatings according to there standard and show to all . we believe this test machine is the ONLY RIGHT WAY to show how hard coated surface is in real time test."
